Let's Make Every Day An Earth Day!
Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:16AM As we celebrate Earth Day 2012 this Sunday, let's think about how we can make every day a little more Green!
In the meeting and hospitality industry, we have unique opportunities to do it smarter and better.
Always ask your meeting venue to put out clearly marked recycling bins and let your attendees know where they are. Plan your meeting with the most efficient use of any paper or products. Will pitchers of water work just as well as bottled water? How about using linen instead of paper napkins? Always provide transit options and encourage people to use them. Put together a committee whose designated task is all about making your event Green and then recognize, promote and reward it.
